This is the most fantastic shot i have seen for a while. The Navy aircraft Prowler with red markings looks cool and the carrier itself proceeding in the sea is mesmerizing. These two produces the best outcome, a nice photo...enjoy.

Harrier is best known as a short landing and take-off aircraft. Suited perfectly to carrier operations, Harriers are one of most advanced aircrafts in service.
In this shot, a Harrier is taking off, using its fans directed below. We can see the heat coming from that fans in the belly of the aircraft. These fans later takes its normal position as the aircraft is ready for normal flight.
Here is a nice shot of an F-18 Hornet, refueling just above the clouds. F-18 has been the backbone of the US Navy along with Tomcats and after the retirement of the F-14 Tomcats, these birds will serve as a primary naval aircraft.
F-35 is the new upcoming next generation fighter aircraft, produced as a joint venture. F-35 will feature some of the newest technologies like stealth and VSTOL. Vertical Take Of and Landing capacity was already in use with Harriers and it was very useful as far as carrier operations are concerned.
