U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, HD 3000*1992



The Thunderbirds are the Air Demonstration Squadron of the U.S. Air Force. They perform breathtaking display maneuvers all over the year, touring the US and much of the world each year. Various jets had been the display aircraft of the Team including F-84s and F-4 Phantoms until it adopted F-16As in 1983. In 1992, the Thunderbirds switched to the slightly advanced F-16Cs.

Output of a very secret project, F-117 had long been away from the public eye until it was revealed in 1988. The Nighthawk is the first aircraft equipped with stealth. F-117 has an airframe that reflects absorbs the radar signals and reflects only a little. This aircraft is scheduled to be carried away from the service and replaced by more sophisticated F-22 Raptor.
